Date with self
Post 30s dating is tough cookie....somewhere when we get less tolerant with people and less resistant to change. We tend to love our space.
But then there is human urge to be loved, love someone.Put your thoughts on table, deep conversations.Light hearted banter,to laugh together...to those hugs and intimacy...all add colours to a relationship. But that too comes at a cost. The cost of understanding each other,to forgive,to let go..to communicate about uncomfortable stuff too.Guess prime basis of it is honesty with your partner, keeping all the compassion and kindness too.
But then the society puts a lot of pressure on us to meet timelines,settling...the fear of being left alone..."All the good ones will go" ,"you are getting late" or as woman i hear a lot "Biological clock is ticking"
A lot of unnecessary pressure....
There is a lot to handle as a professional too.The competative environment and the urge to climb the ladder,to do better.
And we all want a life partner to acompany us in meeting both our professional and personal goal.
To find that person is beautiful indeed. But falling in trap to settle down is scary. You just tend to make wrong decisions...
Then there are days you feel exhausted and really want to reconnect to your roots. There comes 'date yourself'
Finding the places, to cherish the perfect coffee place, the lovable dish at your favourite restaurant, the cocktail you wanted to try and other n number of things you wanted to dive into.
You discover yourself as you do these things independently.
Its good to discover things about yourself ,meanwhile in the ongoing process to find your better half.
You have your own journey to travel beyound timelines....enjoy your journey when you can...
